Day in the Gardens

Posted to: Weddings on Mar 25, 2016

Julia and Drew are a lovely and fun couple  They wanted the reception food to reflect their easy, breezy style. Collaborating with Catering Works, they were able to plan a menu that was unique and fun.  For the cocktail hour, Catering Works offered 3 passed hors d'oeuvres of Strawberry Poblano Tostadas, Mini Beef Empanadas and Ceviche de Pescado, a Peruvian dish; as well as passed Mini Pulled Pork Taco with Spicy Slaw and Crema and a display of Fresh Fruit with Passion Fruit Dip. Following this,a lavish buffet dinner was offered and included Cilantro Lime Rice, Black Beans, Shrimp with Garlic-Parsley Mojo, a Taco and Burrito Bar and a Mexican Dip Station.. The bar offered a selection of craft beers and wines to compliment the food. Topping all of this off, a decadent Cake Bar was put out which included some of Catering Works sumptuous cakes created by our in-house Pastry Chef Anthony. They punched it up with a designer purple linen with rosettes for the Cake Bar and the flowers were in shades of purple, sage green and whites.  It was a wonderful, joyful and memorable affair for a wonderful couple.
