A Taste
Just about every month Catering Works hosts a Tasting Night. We invite brides, grooms, parents, sisters plus other clients planning events with us. Quickly, Jill begins her magic with the menu – combining butlered hors d’oeuvres with small plate stations and a buffet with medium to heavy hors d’oeuvres. Seasonal items are chosen, like the Watermelon with Lime & Chile, to illustrate our commitment to using fresh, top quality ingredients. Local ingredients also make an appearance as in our Bad Penny Brown Ale Chicken Taco, the Bad Penny Ale provided by our neighbors Big Boss Brewing Company. Let us not forget the dessert room – which always includes a wedding cake. Last night’s cake was beautifully designed with delicate flowers and pearls. In addition we had chocolate dipped strawberries with popping sugar – yes,  it is like pop rocks – but better. A beautiful sophisticated champagne colored sugar that pops – so much fun to eat and so delicious. There you have it - just a taste of our Tasting Night. Enjoy!

Watermelon cubes drizzled with lime juice and a touch of Chili, great
combination.

Summer Salad
A great summer greens salad with summer peaches,
berries, local Goat Lady Dairy Chevre and sunflower seeds. Served with a
raspberry vinaigrette.

Bad Penny Brown Ale Chicken Taco
Boneless chicken thighs slow braised in Bad Penny brown ale, shredded and
served on a flour tortilla with chipotle slaw, queso asadero and
a green apple salsa.
