What's happening at NCMA...

Catering Works is proud to partner with NCMA and other collaborators to bring quality culinary experiences to the museum. Experiences are held in either the NCMA Café in the West Building or the East Building, and booked online through Open Table. See current offerings to the right.

Afternoon Tea Series

The first classic British tea experience was held during Art in Bloom. The events were so popular, we are now holding a variety of teas around special days (Mother's Day - May, Gingerbread Tea - December, Art in Bloom - March). Each event consists of a prix-fixe menu including classic finger sandwiches, savory canapes, inspired patisserie, scones and cream, and premium teas. The tea menu is unique to each event and varies seasonally.

Chef's Table 

Prior to 2020, Catering Works created the Culinary Adventure series, featuring a variety of thematic menus, wine pairings and special activities held at the Laurelbrook venue. Chef's Table grew from this platform and has evolved at NCMA to include curator lead tours and culinary themes that connect dramatic plate presentations to the works of art in the latest exhibitions. 

Art Inside the Bottle

Partnering with Vitis House and NCMA curators, the Art Inside the Bottle events pair collection themes along with boutique wines and culinary dishes. Enjoy tasting delicious wine and food while you immerse yourself in the story of both the wine and selected artworks that express themes such as power, place and identity.

After-Hours

Join us after hours at the North Carolina Museum of Art. The NCMA Café will offer an exclusive dining experience themed to a current exhibition or artistic period. This special dining opportunity is designed to complement the artistic atmosphere and ensure guests enjoy a curated meal in an intimate setting. Wine, beer, mocktails and cocktails are available for purchase at the event.
