An Autumn Afternoon Tea Party

by Halle Lyle on Oct 11, 2023

As we here at Catering Works continue our Autumn Tea event at the North Carolina Museum of Art, we would love to share some highlights from this delightful, curated event.

The menu, a lovely mix of sweet and savory delights, starts off with our lovely signature currant and pumpkin scones with house clotted cream and ends with a raspberry-coconut confectionery delight. In the time between that, you’ll find yourself enjoying crisp, bold fruit flavors like apple and pomegranate on tender endive, classic southern style deviled eggs, along with rare roast beef, smoked turkey, and an array of cheeses on carefully selected breads and pastries.

Not to be outdone, our selection of sweets on the prix fixe menu includes glazed shortbread, dark chocolate cookie butter cups, and a bite sized apple pie delight.  With beautiful plating and décor, you won’t forget this tower of treasures.

There is also the tea itself. We have an assortment of local, fresh tea available to perfectly complement the menu. You can choose from bold and fruity herbal teas, soothing green tea, and an array of refreshing black tea. The classic Earl Grey is also present and accounted for, of course. Guests can also choose from our menu of coffee drinks, cocktails, and wine.

This event is simply not to be missed! We have added an extra date on November 15th due to popular demand, and tables are going fast! Book your reservation here.
